Dune: Part Two - Everything You Need to Know

Dune: Part Two is the highly anticipated sequel to Dune (2021), the critically acclaimed adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts, the film will continue the epic saga of Paul Atreides, a young noble who becomes the leader of a desert people called the Fremen, and the key to a cosmic conflict over the precious spice melange. The film is set to be released on March 1, 2024, by Warner Bros. Pictures.



Plot

Dune: Part Two will cover the second half of the original novel, following Paul’s journey as he unites with Chani and the Fremen, seeks revenge against the enemies who destroyed his family, and tries to prevent a terrible future that only he can foresee. The film will explore the themes of prophecy, politics, religion, ecology, and war, as Paul faces the challenges and consequences of his destiny.


Cast

The film will feature the return of the main cast from the first film, including Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Zendaya as Chani, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Charlotte Rampling as Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam, and Javier Bardem as Stilgar. The film will also introduce new characters, such as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, the Baron’s nephew and rival, played by Austin Butler; Irulan Corrino, the Emperor’s daughter and Paul’s future wife, played by Florence Pugh; Thufir Hawat, the Atreides’ loyal mentat, played by Christopher Walken; and Princess Wensicia Corrino, the Emperor’s sister and a scheming villain, played by Léa Seydoux.
